MEGAN MITCHELL WINS SECOND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!
JEREMY PARKER WINS FIRST.

Seven students from Monroe Martial Arts competed at the recent AAU National Championships held in Detroit, Michigan July 4-8, 2001.

Tracey Davis, Cory Morris, Brian Finch, Megan Mitchell, Brady Enchelmeyer,
Jeremy Parker and Alisha Wright competed in Forms, Team Forms, Olympic Sparring and Point Sparring.

Our Black Belt Team of Tracey Davis, Cory Morris and Brian Finch placed fifth in the country.

Megan Mitchell repeated her performance of a year ago. At the 2000 Nationals she placed first (Gold) in Olympic Sparring and third (Bronze) in Forms. At the 2001 Nationals she took the Gold in Forms and Silver in Olympic Sparring. Her back-to-back performance places her in the top rank of competitors in the country.

Jeremy Parker Took the Gold medal in Olympic Sparring at his first National Championship. This was only the second tournament Jeremy had ever competed in.

Alisha Wright brought home two Bronze medals in Forms and Olympic Sparring in her first National Championship.

Tracey Davis finished fourth in Forms and brought home a Bronze medal.

Monroe Martial Arts has had six National Champions since it was founded five years ago.
