|Artists and craftspeople are invited to submit applications for booth space at the Ohio Challenge hot air balloon event planned for August 1,2,3, 2003 in Middletown’s Smith Park.
Middletown will host the first of an annual hot air balloon competition at the same location many will remember as the site of the 1992-94 US National Hot Air Balloon Championships.
The three-day, free admission event will feature twice daily balloon flights, weather permitting, along with a variety of entertainments including musical groups, a carnival, demonstrations and local foods.
Crafts by the Canal will be a juried arts and crafts show. Booth spaces will rent for $110 for a 10 x 10 foot space. Interested artisans and crafters must submit photos or samples of their intended sale items for approval.

Ohio Challenge is organized through the Mid-Miami Valley Chamber of commerce and supported by founding sponsors: Middletown Community Foundation, City of Middletown and Bank One NA.
