The sixth annual Bob Bryant Memorial Run will be held on Saturday, September 6th. It will begin from The Field Sports Arena in Monroe and end approximately 110 miles later back in Butler County at Yardbirds in Trenton to benefit prostate cancer research. The bicycle ride is in honor of Bob Bryant who was killed four years ago in a motorcycle accident. The registration will begin at 10 a.m. at the arena. The event will include a 50/50 raffle, food, and door prizes.
Bob Bryant was killed in a motorcycle accident on September 6, 2003 when a woman from Hamilton turned right in front of him and hit his front tire. The police said he was thrown about 20 feet. He was also the owner of The Field Sports Arena in Monroe and was participating in a charity ride when the crash happened.
Bryant was always a friendly guy and got along with everyone. He was said to have no enemies and always do anything for anybody. The previous year there were 110 riders participated in the ride and they are expecting more to this year. The event is $20 a rider and $25 per couple.
