Boil Water Advisory Lifted

The Boil Water Advisory issued for Mason Avenue, Lewitt Court, Rachel Lane, Moder Drive, Bernard Drive, Lynette Court, and the addresses of South Sands Avenue ranging from 102 to 194 has been lifted. There is no further need to boil your water.

Original Story:A Boil Water Advisory has been issued due to a water main break on Mason Avenue. The advisory is a precaution and will be in effect for 48 hours. The City is required to take samples from the area of the break and to have them tested for contaminants. These tests take 48 hours. Once the results prove negative for any contaminant, the City will lift the advisory. If the contaminant is detected, the City will extend the advisory.

The following streets have been affected: Mason Avenue, Lewitt Court, Rachel Lane, Moder Drive, Bernard Drive, Lynette Court, and the addresses of South Sands Avenue ranging from 102 to 194.

Under a boil advisory, it is advisable to bring the water you will use for drinking, cooking, and all personal hygiene to a rolling boil for three minutes.
