Dillard‘s at the Monroe mall?
Wednesday, May 15, 2002 12:00:00 AM - Monroe Ohio
Heard on the street: The Mall survives! The archives are old! Mall update but the mall is very much alive! Don‘t write off the mall yet, Dillard‘s might be the first anchor store for the new mall idea (downsizing the original development from 1.4 million-square-feet to around 1.1 million) located at the Corridor 75 Park located southeast of Interstate 75 and ST Rt 63 interchange.
The projected 300 acres mall would be on a 800-acre tract of land, according to Lenny Robinson, of Robinson-Lawton-Kent Realtors, realtor for the property. Robinson has said Taubman has an had an option to purchase the property for many years now.
“The new plan would eliminate the need for a new interchange and will keep Miller Creek intact,” Bulmash said.
The new enclosed mall would contain four anchor stores and is designed as a bi-level facility.
