Gate Issue: Colonial Manor and Whispering Oaks
Wednesday, October 26, 2005 4:09:54 PM - Monroe Ohio

October 25, 2005 - The Colonial Manor and Whispering Oaks gate was discussed at last night's City Council meeting.

The majority of Council agreed that the gate should be opened to thru traffic, some residents of both communities showed approval and disapprovals of removing the gate.

There was also discussion of beginning a traffic study at 63 and Hollytree shortly after the gate is removed. With the expansion of Todd Glen reserve there will be nearly 500 homes between the three neighborhoods and with many residents traveling through Colonial Manor to 63. That might justify a traffic signal.

If the gate is removed there will be residents traveling through Whispering Oaks to Todhunter.
Please respect the speed limits and stop signs in these communities. There are children playing in the streets, pets and elderly people in the area.
