Pulse-Journal Quotes:
•         Cody Ridinger:  “I think it’s going to be more of a challenge this year.  The past three years I’ve been with guys that I played with in the summer too. This year, not so much. We’re young and inexperienced, but we are expected to win the league, and we should win it.”
•         Coach Meier: “Carly (Riddell) did a nice job pitching for us, and we had some really great plays on defense.  One of the major things we’ve really been focusing on is fundamentals. And when we have mistakes, we finish strong. I think that showed today.”
•         Coach Hunt, regarding Ridinger:  “He’s our go-to guy in every situation.  He had a great season last year. We’ve got some good kids around him, but really looking for him to get things done.  He knows what we have to do to be successful.  We’re not there yet, and I think at times he feels he has to do more.”
•         Coach Meier:  “Our players were able to reinforce what they have learned by teaching it to some of our community’s youth softball players.  That experience has made us a stronger team, and we think that will make a difference in our play.”
Alumni News:

•        Braden McMonigle broke his own team mark with an effort of 6-10.25. The jump is the best Division III clearance this spring and all but ensures McMonigle a berth in the NCAA Championship later this spring at Baldwin-Wallace College.
