Local Districts Take Precautions In Light Of Data Theft
Friday, June 22, 2007 9:20:47 AM - Monroe Ohio

Governor Strickland

Local entities including the City of Middletown and Middletown City Schools are taking steps to ensure that funds are safeguarded from theft, in light of the backup tape stolen from the car of an intern for Governor Strickland. While officials representing the state government reassure that the data contained on the tape would be very hard to access, local officials are sparing no precautions. Steps such as changing passwords, monitoring security closely and shifting money to other funds will protect local governments that may be at risk, according to officials.
