Matson Center Library
Friday, October 10, 2003 12:00:00 AM - Monroe Ohio
A community library is planned as part of the new K-12 Monroe School. Tom Birdwell and I are putting a committee together to look at ways to open the school library during the evenings/weekend for use by the community. At this point, we are exploring our options with the Middletown Library. If you are interested in serving on the committee, please send mail to: library@rubinfarm.com
We have had an initial meeting with the Middletown Library. Discussions centered around having a special collection at the school, online reservation of materials from the Middletown Library, and using a system similar to the teacher card to check out books for use in our facility. It may be possible to come up with a new system that is a hybrid of these to fit our needs. This will be discussed at a later date. I would like to see the committee form and meet to discuss these options before we go back to Middletown with a proposal.
Thanks,
Suzi Rubin
