Middletown Arts Center presents An American Celebration!
Wednesday, June 02, 2010 2:00:14 PM - Monroe Ohio

Middletown Arts Center isproud to host the143rd Annual American Watercolor SocietyExhibit. The Center is one of just seven national locations and the only venue in the Midwest.  This extraordinary show will feature the very best of American watercolorists, selected from over 1000 submitted works. The forty paintings shown in Middletown are truly the very finest, chosen by an elite jury from a final 108 watercolors, which were shown in New York this April.

This society boasts an illustrious history.  Founded in 1866, its membership roster reads like the Who’s Who of American fine art. Past members included Childe Hassam, Winslow Homer, John La Farge and Andrew Wyeth. The society exists to promote the achievements of great artists who follow these traditions.

We are honored to have an opportunity to display this museum quality art in our intimate and welcoming setting.
