|On December 18th, 2003 the Monroe local Cub scout Pack #959 visited several houses in the Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village and sang Christmas Carols to some of the residents. About 15 scouts, their brothers, sisters and parents braved the cold weather and sang their little hearts out. We were sorry that we could not go to every house and sing, but if the weather would have been warmer and our little feet wouldn't have given out we probably would still be out there singing. After the carolling we went to the Activities Building and had hot chocolate and cookies. We hope to make this an annual event so look for us next year if you missed us this year.
I would like to extend my appreciation to everyone who came out and Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village for allowing us to use their building to get warmed up. It was very nice to hear the adults get into the Christmas Spirit as well as the children.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
If anyone is interested in joining the Cub Scouts please e-mail me at CallingCar54@juno.com. I will be glad to tell you about our pack.
