ALSO GOOD READ:
Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult
Read just one of Jodi Picoult's books and she can become one of your favorite authors.  This story takes place in the Amish country of Lancaster County, PA and the discovery of a dead infant in an Amish barn.  Evidence suggest that 18 year old Katie, an unmarried Amish woman believed to be the newborn's mother, took the baby's life.  Disillusioned Philadelphia lawyer, Ellie, takes on the defense of  Katie.  The story moves from psychological drama to courtroom suspense.

The reader is taken into the world of the Amish, their system of justice, their beliefs and way of life.  Picoult's readers learn with the read and are taken on a fabulous journey.  The story isn't over until the last page is read!
