We have added many new books (adult and children) since the last report. The Book Review Group meets the 4th Monday of each month at 7:30 PM. Selections for discussion for the following months are: August 28th – Dinner with a Perfect Stranger by David Gregory; September 25th – World is Flat: a brief history of the 21st Century by Thomas Friedman; October 23rd – True Believer by Nicholas Sparks; November 27th – At Christmas the Heart Goes Home by Marjorie Holmes. The Needlecraft Group meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM. Just bring your needlework (Crochet, embroidery, knitting, cross-stitch, and quilting). Others can help you if you have a problem with needlework. Please join us, there is no charge, just great fellowship.
“Knitters just naturally create communities of friends and newfound friends at work,
after work, or on the Internet, sharing their passion for knitting.”
The above quote was taken from the book “A Good Yarn” by Debbie Macomber.
The children aren’t forgotten. The 2nd & 3rd Saturday of each month at 11-12 PM, the library offers Craft/Storytime and Storytime for ages 5-11 years of age. On Saturday August 12th, Craft/Storytime, the book will be “Hurray For You” You-ness. What makes you you? Craft will be making a picture of you using felt and yarn.
Anyone interested in volunteering for the Storytime or in the library, please stops by the library during our open hours.
Hours are Monday 7-9 PM, Wednesday 2 PM –8 PM Saturday 10 am –1 PM.
