Due to inclement weather conditions on Tuesday, May 20th, the scheduled repairs to shut down the water main to do repair work on Serena Way has been rescheduled. They will begin working at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 and end when the repair is finished. There will be no water available to your residence during this period.
After the water has been restored, there will be a boil water advisory in effect for a minimum of 48 hours. This is strictly a precautionary measure that is required by the Ohio E.P.A. to confirm that there are no contaminants in the water. A sample will be taken after the water has been restored. When the sample results prove negative for any contaminant, we will notify you by door hangers that the boil water advisory has been lifted.
Under a boil advisory, it is advisable to bring the water you will use for drinking, cooking and all personal hygiene (such as brushing your teeth) to a rolling boil for three minutes. You may find additional information about the boil advisory at our website at: Boil Advisory
The boil water advisory will only be in effect for the residences that have received a notification on their door.
When the water has been restored, you may experience "red" water and you should not do laundry to avoid staining your clothes. The water will clear up. If you have red water, you may want to run your water for a few minutes to flush the red water from your system.
If you have any questions, you may call us at (513) 539-7374. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
