                                                HARD HAT HIGHLIGHTS

                                    NEW ASSISTED LIVING CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Mount Pleasant Retirement Village continues “Building For the Future”.  Since the original ground breaking for the new Assisted Living in July 2005, Messer Construction workers have been very busy, working from the ground up to finish the new 2-story residence.

Despite the weather’s lack of cooperation during October & November, progress continues to be made at a steady pace.  The schedule had been considerably delayed but with hard work, extra hours and Mother Nature’s support in January the crew has caught up on many previously delayed tasks.  The surrounding community has had a first hand view of the efforts, considering the crane wielding a 120-foot boom that can be seen for miles around. It has been transporting concrete to complete the first floor.  The first floor concrete slab, along with plumbing and electrical underground rough-ins is 75% complete.

The next exciting step will be choosing which suite to call home.  The new Assisted Living residence will include one and two bedroom suites ranging in size from 355 Sq. Ft. to 714 Sq. Ft.  Assisted Living offers the following amenities:

-         Private Suites

-         24-hour-a-day staffing

-         Three nutritious meals a day

-         Social and recreational activities

-         On-site rehabilitation/ therapies

-         Scheduled Transportation

-         Medication Management

-         Housekeeping and Maintenance service

-         Personal laundry and Linen services

-         Library and Computer Lab

-         Rose Garden and 2 Beautifully Landscaped Courtyards.

-         Intimate Dining Areas and a Dining Room Overlooking the Courtyards.

In addition to being a home, Assisted Living also offers a Return to Home Program.  Individuals who take advantage of our Return to Home Program will transition from a medical care setting, to a supportive residential setting, and then to home.   Short Stay Programs designed for caregiver breaks, vacations, and respite care are also available.
