Official Minutes: Monroe Board Appointments

Mayor Routson advised there are three applications for the Park and Recreation Board, which has two openings. We have one interested in the Personnel Board, Susan Wise.
Mayor Routson moved to appoint Susan Wise to the Personnel Board; seconded by Mr. Kelley. Voice vote. Motion carried.

The other boards we have openings on, which is the Audit Committee, Park and Recreation Board, and Income Tax Review Board. Mayor Routson would like to speak to the three applicants to the Park and Recreation Board and perhaps see if one would be interested in serving on another committee. He noted that Mary Maurer has expressed an interest to serve on any committee.

Mrs. Stillman commented that there is a vacancy on the Board of Zoning Appeals and received one applicant for this position, Lorenzo Adam. Mr. Kelley stated that he is an inspector for the City of Mason and would be a good fit. Mrs. Stillman asked if Council needed to make reappointments to the Planning Commission (James Berry) and Income Tax Board of Review (Robert Snook).

Mayor Routson moved to re-appoint James Berry to the Planning Commission; seconded by Mr. Kelley. Voice vote. Motion carried.

Mayor Routson moved to appoint Lorenzo Adam to the Board of Zoning Appeals; seconded by Mr. Kelley. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Mayor Routson moved to re-appoint Robert Snook to the Income Tax Board of Review; seconded by Mr. Kelley. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Mayor Routson stated that Chie Yoshimura is interested in serving on the Audit Committee, which has two openings.
Mayor Routson moved to appoint Chie Yoshimura to the Audit Committee; seconded by Mr. Kelley. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Mr. Callahan indicated that it would appropriate to appoint a Council Member to the Planning Commission and Park and Recreation Board.
Mayor Routson moved to appoint Suzi Rubin to the Warren County Municipal League; seconded by Mr. Kelley. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Mayor Routson moved to appoint Mr. Kelley to the Planning Commission as Council Representative; seconded by Mr. Black. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Mayor Routson moved to appoint Mrs. Hale to the Park and Recreation Board as Council Representative; seconded by Mr. Kelley. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Mrs. Hale felt that Ken Donavon, applicant for the Park and Recreation Board vacancy, would be an asset.
Mr. Black stated that one applicant, Leslie Cramer, is very active in the community and would be good to appoint to the Board. Mr. Kelley concurred. Mrs. Hale felt that a woman’s point of
view on the Park and Recreation Board is needed. 
Mr. Hickman moved to appoint Mary Maurer to the Audit Committee; seconded by Mayor Routson. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Mr. Kelley moved to Ken Donavon and Leslie Cramer to the Park and Recreation Board; seconded by Mr. Black. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Mrs. Stillman asked who would be responsible to contact the appointees to these boards and commissions. The Clerk of Council indicated that she will contact them.
