Dan Hare, Superintendent of Butler County Educational Service Center (BCESC) will be assisting with the process. He will be meeting with the Board on August 17 to discuss individual candidates. BCESC provides guidance to school districts in Butler County. Mr. Hare has been involved in the Monroe School District since inception. He helped Monroe School district hire Arnol Elam as the first school superintendent as well as assisting with the hiring of the current superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Lolli.

Mr. Hare and the Monroe School Board will begin interviews in the near future. Interviews will be conducted until a final candidate is selected with a target date of September 19, 2011.

Assuming the Board finds a final candidate by September 19, 2011, Monroe Schools can expect the new treasurer to be on the job October 3 or sooner, pending their current employment commitment.
