Women's Center for Hope

Women's Center for HOPE, 43 "C" New Garver Rd. in Monroe will be the site of a weekly book club on Thursday evenings from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Mission Statement : "To empower individuals to achieve sexual integrity and make healthy life choices respecting the value of each person created by God."

Created by Legacy Institute in conjunction with Heartbeat International, the Sexual Integrity Program focuses on building and establishing healthy relationships, marriages, sexual wholeness, and fertility appreciation in the context of real-life situations. Mentors encourage participants to set and develop goals for their lives and to see how their choices impact themselves and others. Sexual Integrity is available to anyone who wants to learn skills needed to establish positive relationships. Gifts are given to Sexual Integrity Program participants to remind them that they are precious and valuable.

Women's Center for HOPE, a satellite center of Elizabeth's New Life Center in Dayton, offers free pregnancy testing, a 24-hotline, and prenatal information. The center provides a mentoring program dealing with a variety of topics including pregnancy, newborn care, and parenting skills. Emergency material assistance - diapers and formula, as well as, maternity or children's clothing - are provided to those in need on a limited basis.

By attending classes at the center, mothers and fathers may " earn" coupons to purchase needed items such as baby equipment and clothing at a "boutique" which is located inside the center. The boutique's new and used items are purchased or donated by area schools, churches, clubs, or individuals. The boutique is open on Saturdays from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.

Director Cindy Hoffman and Lead-Consultant, Darlene Richey, are seeking volunteers and donations for the center. New clients are welcomed. Women's Center for HOPE is open on Tuesdays from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., Thursdays from noon until 8:30 P.M., and Saturdays from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. The center's telephone number is 1-866-565-HOPE. Contact them by email by Clicking Here
