History: The Red Onion has stood at its current location for over 100 years. You can read about this historic place just by sitting at any table. Newspaper articles, photos and advertising over the years are embedded into the table tops. The walls have photos and Hand Painted artwork of historic Monroe. The current remodel was the brainchild of  Jon Fadden a Monroe Fireman. You haven't been to Monroe until you been to The Red Onion.
