Tonight, Amie Earls will be sworn in as new School Board Member. Ms. Earls will be replacing John McDonald who resigned last month due to health reasons.

Regarding the appointment, Superintendent Lolli had this to say,

“I believe we had two very strong candidates for the open board seat. Both would provide high quality leadership.
Mrs. Earls was chosen to fill the vacant seat. As an educator and a parent with children in the Monroe schools, I believe that she will provide strong leadership.

It is my hope that Ms. Mauer will serve on the district’s community finance committee. With her background and professional experiences, she would provide strong financial knowledge and expertise to that committee and the district.”

Who needs little old me now that you're running things again, Mr. B?

You mean out of the massive number of TWO people that applied for the position. Ms Earls led the substitute levy campaign in 2010 and has been a regular in supporting Monroe schools.

Perhaps you will apply for the next opening?

[br]Anyone could apply. Thank you Amie, for being one of only two people to step up in a very troubling time for the district and put your a** on the line for the children of Monroe.

Di Ogenes, did you submit your application? Perhaps you should shine that lamp of yours upon yourself.

I agree but maybe Di Ogenes schedule doesn't allow time for the meetings.

I did not either for that very reason. Work, til 3 then school ti 9 I have to have time for the kids and my self.

I don't criticise because of that.
