And for the kids:

One of the events is the children’s story time readings in the Monroe Historical Society’s pioneer cabin in the park. The readings will take place from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at each half hour. The Monroe Lending Library will be hosting the readings and free books will be given to the children compliments of the United Way’s Women Living United/Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.”

Yes, kudos goes out to Mark Bursley, without whom, the fireworks would be not happening.

Did you see the band lineup? With all the events, this indeed will be a great time for our little town.
I hope others can step up with a few dollars to keep this event alive.

Hey we aren't talking about much money, any amount would be excellent. $5, $10, $20 any amount would be great.
I will get the address where to send a check from the committee and have it posted it here.

Mark, I'm assuming the Red Onion will have a booth. Why not set up an "official" LUtS 2010 donation box? It may be after the fact, but I would venture to say you'd collect a bit.

My dad used to say, 'You wouldn't worry so much about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.
