Tuesday we lost our neighbor, our friend.

Him and his wife (Alice) devoted a lot of time to our community and will be sadly missed by our family and many others in our community.

George was one of the best men I have ever had the privilege of knowing.

PhotobucketFRAZEE, George W. age 87, passed away on Tuesday, November 04, 2008 at home surrounded by family and his dog Max. He was born September 11th, 1921 in Warren County to Walter and Goldie Frazee. He served in the armed forces during WWII and then settled in Southwestern Ohio with his wife Alice, where he farmed and worked for AK Steel for 37 years. George was an active member of the Monroe community serving on several local organizations including the Monroe Optimist Club, Monroe Historical Society and Monroe United Methodist Church. He served as grand marshal of the Monroe City Fest parade and was a recipient of the Monroe Area Community Foundation Cornerstone Award along with his wife. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice and son, Mike Frazee. George is survived by his daughter Robyn (Mike) DeHart, daughter in law Gayle Frazee, and grandchildren: Heather (Phil) Brummett, Mike (Beth) Frazee, Josh (Liz) DeHart, Liz Frazee, Susie DeHart and great grandchildren: Michael and Charlotte Brummett, Caleb and Juliana Frazee. A loving devoted husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa; he will sadly missed by his family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. VanValkenburg and the staff at Monroe Medical Center; and Marcia Sam and Myra from Hospice Home Care. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm, Thursday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at the Monroe United Methodist Church with Reverend Bradford G. Olson officiating. Burial will be at Mound Cemetery, Monroe, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Hamilton Home Care, 1010 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013 or Monroe United Methodist Church, 206 East Avenue, Monroe, Ohio 45050.

George was a charter member of the Monroe Optimist Club and will be missed dearly. His service to our community has been great and will be cherished forever. Prayers go out to his entire family.
