This is a great time and good food! Miss Badgett has a schedule of which bands play when, so you can come, eat and be entertained for the evening.

Are they doing carryout?

Just found out that the Band Concert and Spaghetti Dinner has been postponed until March 3rd because of all the days off as well as finals. Ms. Badgett and Mrs. Pelfry feel they haven't had a consistent enough practice time.

Well, my son will be attending. I think we are getting a touch of the bug he had last week and not going to subject anyone to it further. Hope all goes well.
I would expect a full house.

I didn't get there in time for the dinner, but it smelled good! The concert was very good. Good to see so many in 5th - 8th grade bands, gives hope for increased population in the high school band! High School band sounded very good, too!!!

I won't say "I told you so, but........"

Did anyone get to hear Nick Dian play the marimba solo between the 6th grade band and the High School band? It was absolutely amazing! He went the OMEA competition and received the highest rating. He used 4 mallets and the piece was at least 4 minutes long. I was enthralled! We have some really wonderful talent here in Monroe!

Yes, Nick did an incredible job. The thing about those State competitions is, you have to have your piece memorized (Nick used no music last night, either), but you have to give the judges a copy of the music so they can follow along & know what it's SUPPOSED to sound like!! Pressure is on.

AWESOME JOB NICK!!!
