I interviewed Michele Rothstein, SVP of Marketing, Chelsea Property Group about the "Cincinnati Premium Outlets" opening soon in Monroe.

Beagle: Why did you choose Monroe?
Rothstein: Monroe allows us to serve the Cincinnati and Dayton metro area with a high quality outlet shopping experience. The local provides highway visibility and access which is very important for destination outlet centers. Based on the excitement, there is clearly a consumer need for the type of outlet centers we build. We look forward to serving the area.

I know my wife is excited about the new mall. It will be more convenient than Kenwood when she is in the market for better retail items.

Since the 63 overpass will not be totally ready for the Aug 6th opening--are they still going to have an entrance off of Mason Road??

If so when? It sure would make it nice for some of the locals not to have to fight the 63 bottlenecks.

I don't think so. The Police Chief is planning on having extra traffic control officers on duty to help with the traffic flow.

Response back from the city manager.

It is true that an access to the Mall will be costructed for public access from Mason Road. I am not certain that this access will be constructed by the time of the Mall opening. We are currently focusing on the construction of the main entrance roads so that they may be opened on time.

The rear entrance will hopefully be completed within a month of the mall opening. It is unfortunate that the timing could not work out better. Be sure that we are attempting to make travel as smooth as it can be with all the challenges that will exist.
