Since the state is in charge, my guess will be some time next year or the year after that before they start widening construction on Mason road. Not sure this is a state project though.

With the widening of the bridge to accomodate 4 lanes of traffic instead of two, whe nit the work to begin on Mason Rd to add two more lanes?

Thanks John for the update. This is the way Hubby comes home when in Cinci. Luckily he is in Columbus today.

This is going on today and tomorrow. This morning, I was lucky and got right through. There were Monroe police cars on both sides of the bridge at the ready.

I will be glad when this is over.

I take that way to work now and expected it to be an issue, but so far it hasn't been.

Mason Road Closure Scheduled for Bridge Work

Butler County (Thursday, September 2, 2010) - To accommodate the setting of bridge beams, intermittent 15-minute closures of Mason Road at Interstate 75 will be in place next week.

The work is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8th and Thursday, September 9th.

Traffic control will be managed by local law enforcement, and message boards will be in place one week in advance, advising motorists of the upcoming traffic restriction.

This work is part of the widening and reconstruction of I-75 in Butler and Warren counties.

thank you very much for posting this. I was stuck in a 'temporary closing' there about 2 weeks ago with no warning and no police involvement. I just gave up, turned around and went another way.
