Resolution No. 87-2009. A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Kleingers & Associates for additional engineering design services for the Mason Road and Butler-Warren Road Extension.

Beagle: Do you have a drawing and or comment on the new improved BW road? How many lanes?

City Manager Bill Brock: Not yet, the preliminary engineering will help us define what the road will be. I am expecting a 5 lane section to match Gateway Blvd.

Really 5? Can we get the current road debacle under control first?

If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.

Cool. Let's tear up more roads, and put out another thousand orange barrels, then wait and decide what to do about it.

This is the first step. The engineering plans will have to be created and approved before any work would be started. I believe the current road projects would be finished along 63 before any BW road projected started.

Kinda wishing we would've known about all this possible road construction before we moved to Monroe Ridge... I started taking BW to Hamilton Rd for work when 63 became too frustrating. Guess it'll be Cinci-Dayton to Bethany for a while if this happens.

You know, I hate to complain about all the construction because hopefully the end result is worth it. It's just a pain to live with for a while.

I wonder if this will have any impact on Bridle Creek.

Nearly all of our construction mess is not in Monroe's hands, instead squarely in that of ODT.

I have never seen such total disregard for taxpayers/businesses/commuters needs, over such an extended period of time. Last year they took down most of the crossover bridges of I75 south of us, all at once, creating real safety/emergency access problems for the people who lived in the area. In Monroe and Middletown, they virtually cut off access to business such as McDonald's for extended periods. It shouldn't take three years to build a highway interchange. How much of the time have they had full crews working?

The Journal published an article over the summer about the proposed Cox Road interchange. It quoted an ODT source describing it as a twenty year project to design and build. Twenty years? This isn't rocket science. If the mall and Vandercar were on that schedule, construction would START in about ten more years, and take ten more.

It is my understanding that this was part of the Deal Brokered to bring the Mall to Monroe. I believe it was to bring BW all the way out to have easy Rt63 access.

As to the 20 yr Liberty Plan, I believe the Time line is about all the non-Roadway development to take 20 yrs.
