Just wanted to let the community know that there will be a concert held at Monroe United Methodist Church THIS SATURDAY. "A Night of Praise" is an evening of great, live praise and worship music supplied by Rekindled (MonroeUMC's Praise Team) and some friends from Cincinnati providing a 6-piece horn section!
There is a $5 admission fee which gets you the concert AND an All-You-Can-Eat Dessert Bar featuring HOMEMADE goodies (nut-free environment; sugar-free and gluten-free items will also be available). All proceeds will go to MonroeUMC's Audio/Video ministries as they continue to look forward to ways to improve their operations.
Doors for the Dessert bar open at 6:15pm; Concert gets underway at 7pm! So, make sure to eat your dinner, but leave the dessert portion to us!!
This will surely be an inspirational, uplifting night including some praise and worship favorites, a special arrangement of "Because He Lives", and maybe a couple you've never heard before.
Great question! Our praise & worship service takes place in our multi-purpose room (where the concert is). We're in need of updating our equipment to clean-up our sound and also beginning recording the services there in order to share them with shut-ins and possible webcasts weekly.
Our traditional services are recorded weekly and are distributed to those folks who can't make it out on a Sunday morning.
This past spring, we installed screens in our sanctuary; but there are still other phases we need to explore to make our operations more sound and to produce better quality.
Are you mostly planning on doing this in-house or are you going with a company? I'm curious because I've seen it done both ways. I actually use to run A/V at Embrace Ministires down Cin-Day road before it turned into Veritas.
