According to the latest information from the Butler County Board of Elections' website, Monroe has four candidates for two school board positions. The only incumbent is Monroe School Board President Maurice Lane. Incumbent Chris Snyder has yet to pull a petition.

The other three candidates all are former school board members. Jamie Pierce was on the original school board and is a former board president. Leeds also was a former board president. Birdwell was a member of the school board as well as president of Butler Tech.
