The Monroe Lending Library celebrated the opening of their new location with a ribbon cutting at the new location. Present were Mayor of Monroe Robert Routson, Councilwomen Anna Hale and Suzi Rubin, as well as Lending Library Officers and members.
The Monroe Lending Library is located at 6 East Avenue on Saturday, October 1, 2011 around 1:00 p.m.

The Monroe Lending Library has activities for all ages. There are book signings, children's reading and activities, quarter auctions, a needlecraft group, book review group and other activities.
