During January Monroe experienced 11 snow events and used almost $60,000 worth of salt. Monroe typically only experience 12-15 events per year.

City Manager Bill Brock is asking that the blanket purchase order amount be increased to the full budget amount of $103,000 to ensure an adequate salt supply for the remainder of this winter season.
