| April 13, 2000- The Organizational Meeting and first regular meeting of the Monroe Local School District Board of Education was held on April 13, 2000 at 7pm at the Monroe City Building on South Main Street, Monroe. The meeting was held in Council Chambers in front of a standing room only crowd.Mayor Elbert Tannreuther administered the Oath of Office to the five Monroe Local School Board Members: Suzi Rubin, Carol Brotherton, Jamie Pierce, John Birch and Tom Birdwell.
The Monroe Board of Education conducted an organizational meeting followed by its first regular board meeting
