Firefighter Monroe is a three year old Dalmatian that lives at the Fire Station located at 3 South Main Street. In the picture above you can see Monroe is ready for duty along with Lieutenant Scott Clasgens (left) and Firefighter Paul Peters (right). Monroe enjoys helping teach children the importance of fire safety.
As is common with Dalmatians, Monroe has developed bladder stones and needs surgery. After surgery he will need a special diet and medication to help keep him healthy. Monroe’s doctor has estimated the monthly cost for his diet and medication to be in excess of $80.00. Monroe isn’t ready for retirement from the Fire Department because he is still young. He is asking for donations to help with his special food and medication.
