Monroe City Council and City Manager William J. Brock have agreed to a three year contract extension. Mr. Brock was appointed City Manager in March of 2004, after serving as Acting City Manager for one year. Contract terms of compensation will remain at 2004 levels until the City has recovered from Fiscal Emergency Conditions. "It is important to show that everyone in this organization is dedicated to the fiscal recovery of this City," said Brock. "The staff of this City should be commended for the progress we have made toward this goal." Council and Brock agree that the three year term of this agreement is important for the stability of leadership and the fiscal recovery of the City.
