The Monroe Area Optimist Club Oratory Contest was held at the school on March 5^th,  2005.  The topic this year was, “My Hero Is . . .” Boy winners were (left side):  Joe Irwin (2nd),  Richard Irwin (1^st),  David Irwin (3^rd).  Girl winners were (right side):   Regan Reece (1^st),  Carissa VanCleve  (3^rd) Lauren Davis (2^nd).   Winners advance to the Zone Competition at Miami University-Hamilton later this month.
