The Monroe JV and Varsity soccer teams improved 100% since last year's disastrous outing at Dayton Carroll.  The scores may not show it but the Hornet teams played hard and improved tremendously against the "semi-pro" teams from Dayton Carroll.

  Their season opener show lots of promise and great hustle from the hard-working boys who didn't give up until the final buzzer.  The result was the first score (by junior Robbie Hendrickson) against Dayton Carroll since Coach Gannon has been at Monroe!!  Final scores JV: Dayton Carroll 9-Monroe 0 and Varsity: Dayton Carrol 7-Monroe 1.
