Tuesday evening, outside linebacker Mike Majors, wide receiver Pat Harrington, punter Tad Kilburn and return specialist Josh Herron earned first-team status on the 2005 Associated Press Southwest All-District squads.

Jason Krause was named Coach of the Year. He improved the Hornet football record from 2-8 last season to its first winning record since 1994, 11-1 this year.

Mike Majors, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound senior, with120 tackles, five fumble recoveries, three interceptions and 10 tackles for loss during the regular season, was named Defensive Player of the Year.

The Hornets will play Valley View in the Division IV-Region 16 championship game this Saturday.
