- MidFirst Credit Union, which was founded in Middletown 66 years
ago, plans to open its first branch outside the city. The new
location will be 225 S. Main St., which is right across from the city
building. Customers will be offered full service banking, personal
financial services, a drive-up ATM, and a night depository.
The MidFirst facility will actually be leased from
Monroe Chiropractic Center. It is estimated to spend some $200,000
in renovations, according to Laurie Rades, manager of business
developement. Rades saind the hew credit union is expected to gain 500 new
members in 2001 while still serving current customers.
MidFirst was organized in 1934 b y 50 Armco Steel
employees as a not-for-profit cooperation. In 1994 they changed the name
to Midfirst. They now serve more then 20,000 customers in southwest Ohio. |
