From the Observer coming out this weekend. I guess you get a sneak preview :)
Saturday, April 7, 2007, the Monroe Lions Club will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Monroe Community Park. The Egg Hunt will start at 1:00 pm and will have three egg hunting areas based on age. There will be plastic eggs stuffed with candy and prize eggs with a coupon to be redeemed for cash. For safety concerns we do not allow parking in the large main lot, so be ready to park up at the Monroe Swim Club parking lot or in the parking lot on the southwest side of the main concession building. As in years past, we will hold this egg hunt rain or shine, so don’t let a little weather keep you and your egg hunters from coming out for some good fun. The plastic eggs are yours to keep; if you want to give them back we will have a collection box for recycling the plastic eggs. Be sure to check your eggs for a cash prize coupon and if you are one of the lucky ones, bring the coupon to the shelter for your prize. Each age group will have a table where you can claim your prize. We will see you Saturday, April 7th and good luck hunting the eggs. The Lions hide two hundred twenty dozen eggs to make sure everyone finds some eggs.
