Wednesday, February 6 Monroe Elementary School held its annual spelling bee for the in the high school auditorium. Thirty one spellers from the fourth through sixth grades participated. First place was won by Tamara Davis, a sixth grader. Second place went to Laura Cain, also a sixth grader and third place went to Alexis Waugh, a fifth grader. First place ribbons were awarded for each grade level. First place in the fourth grade was awarded to Ben Leahy. First place in the fifth grade was Alexis Waugh. Tamara Davis was the sixth grade and overall champion. Grate jobb spelers!!
