Fifth Graders Do George Washington Carver Project After studying about the famous scientist and inventor George Washington Carver for Black History Month, Ms. Freund and Mr. Hogan‘s fifth grade classes decided to do a project based on the many uses of the peanut discovered by Carver. Student groups could do a scientific investigation based on either cookies, candy, peanut butter or milk (Carver even created a peanut milk!) The students made predictions, graphs, blind taste-tests and all kinds of other cool things. Then they arranged their discoveries on a display board...and had FUN doing it too!!
