Main Street Monroe is announcing full support for Issue 10. We support this issues for several reasons including:
Education - to maximize our educational experience for our Monroe children.
Economic - to keep housing values up.
Community - for a better overall community standard of living.
I personally urge everyone to vote for progress, educational excellence and a better community. Vote yes on Issue #10.

PROPOSED BOND ISSUE
MONROE LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
A Majority Affirmative Vote Is Necessary For Passage
Shall
bonds be issued by the Monroe Local School District for the purpose of
NEW CONSTRUCTION, ADDITIONS, RENOVATIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS TO SCHOOL
FACILITIES AND PROVIDING EQUIPMENT, FURNISHINGS AND SITE IMPROVEMENTS
THEREFOR in the principal amount of Twenty-Eight Million Dollars
($28,000,000) to be repaid annually over a maximum period of
twenty-eight (28) years, and an annual levy of property taxes to be
made outside the ten-mill limitation, estimated by the county auditor
to average over the repayment period of the bond issue six and
fifty-five hundreths (6.55) mills for each one dollar of tax valuation
which amounts to sixty-five and five tenths cents ($0.655) for each one
hundred dollars of tax valuation, commencing in 2008, first due in
calendar year 2009, to pay the annual debt charges on the bonds, and to
pay debt charges on any notes issued in anticipation of those bonds?
