Monroe School District Earns 98% PI Score Tweet

By: Tara Kunkle Last year Monroe was rated with 26 out of 30 indicators and a performance index score of 97.8 and AYP goals were not met. This year however Monroe met AYP goals for the first time and met 25 of 30 indicators and earned a 98 performance index score. Elizabeth Lolli said that the district is already working to improve math scores in grades five through eight with new programs and new curriculum. Also the district is working hard on science areas in the same grades. Middletown school districts met 5 out of 30 state indicators and got a performance index record of 80. Middletown did not meet there overall AYP but it is the 5th year of improvement status.
