When it comes to checking facts and getting names spelled correctly, our local newspaper does not always do a good job. The newspaper reported that Monroe met 13 of 22 proficiency standards. Actually Monroe met 15 of 22 standards. A mark that moves Monroe nearer the next level of academic rating.
