Last night students and parents meet at the Monroe High School Gymnasium to welcome the newest member of the Monroe Athletic Department. Beth Elias is the new volleyball coach at the high school and she held her first sign up session with those students that want to play volleyball for the 2009/2010 school year.
MainStreetMonroe.com was also there to welcome Coach Elias and she was excited to tell us how happy she is to be here in Monroe. Coach Elias told MainStreetMonroe.com, "I like to win, but win or lose volleyball is suppose to be fun. And that's a lesson I hope to teach the kids."
Elias was the Junior Varsity coach at Fairfield High for one year, the Varsity assistant for two years and she coached at Ursuline as the Varsity assistant for two years. She grew up in Sharonville and went to school at Princeton. Coach Elias also does works for the Hamilton MRDD program.
Welcome to Monroe Coach Elias.
