Ken Meibers considers football the "greatest team game in the world." This is perhaps why he started playing the game in fifth grade and has been involved with it - either as a player or a coach - ever since. Meibers played football through high school and college, has coached at both the college and high school levels, and is currently the head football coach at Monroe High School. As a self-described "family man," Coach Meibers says he loves Monroe becaus of the "tight-knit" and "family-orinted" atmosphere and that community support of the school and the football team is one of the best parts of his job. He looks forward to more community support, hard work from his players, and winning some championships as the Honets get ready for the 2009 season.
