As work proceeds on the reconstruction and widening of
Interstate
75 in Butler County, a traffic switch is planned for
northbound
I-75 the evening of Tuesday, June 9. At the same time,
the northbound I-75 Travel Information Center (Exit 28) will be closed to
accommodate work on this section of highway; the closure will be in place for
several months.
Northbound I-75 traffic will travel on a four-mile
stretch of southbound I-75, from just north of SR 129 (Exit 24), to just south
of the SR 63 (Exit 29) interchange. Three lanes of traffic will continue to be
maintained. Northbound traffic will be restricted by concrete barrier wall on
both sides of the travelled lanes; there will be no shoulders or room available
for break downs.
