The Monroe Men’s Soccer Team played a pre-season scrimmage against the Fenwick Falcons on Tuesday evening at Monroe High School. 

The combination of Nick Braden and Jake Essig provided the Hornets with two goals to help them to a 2-1 victory.  Senior Jake Essig scored once in the first half and once in the second half, both times with assists from Senior Nick Braden. 

A scappy Hornet defense kept the Falcons out of the net until they scored with 4:58 remaining in the game.  Patrick MacIntosh was the goalkeeper for the game.  The Fenwick JV team beat Monroe 1-0.  Patrick MacIntosh, Chase Collins and BJ Frentzel shared goalkeeper duties in this game.
