Acknowledging high community support for the Middletown Mural project, the Middletown Community Foundation has granted $5,000 toward the project.
According to Judy Bober, chair of the project, the Foundation’s donation now puts the fund well over $22,000 and assures funding for the first two murals and a good start on a third mural for the outdoor art project begun last year.
The first of the series of mural will be painted beginning in mid-June on the south side of the garage overpass which spans Broad Street in downtown Middletown. The second mural will be on the opposite side – facing the Donham Plaza area.
