The Monroe Garden Club
The Annual Christmas Party was held at the home of Becky Howard in Middletown. Becky’s home was beautifully decorated in the Christmas theme. Anna Hale read In the Spirit of the Season reminding each of us to enjoy the little things in life, to reach out to long lost friends, not to hold grudges and remember to say I love you again and again. An array of appetizers and desserts was enjoyed. Club members brought gifts, which were wrapped, for judging. Acting Judge Geoff presented a blue ribbon to Jean Maple, a red ribbon to Geraldine Bontrager and a yellow ribbon to Anna Hale. The gifts were then distributed following the Mr. Right poem. The Christmas Lighting Contest will be judged on Wed. Dec.16th. There will be no meeting in January.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, February 16th at 7:00 p.m. in the James Monroe Community Room in the City Building. Members are asked to bring supplies to share to make small floral arrangements for residents at Mount Pleasant Nursing Home. Guests are always welcome at our meetings.
