Meeting Minutes

Minutes:
Meeting called to order - All said Pledge of Allegiance
Motion to approve secretary’s report (Dave) & 2nd (Greg)
Motion to approve Treasurers report – no report – SWBL Track meet - 2 day $3239 deposit w/o receipts
Standard Projects:
Sports Program – getting ready to send out Ad forms, Rob Kilburn working on Membership form
Concession Stand – Tamara will manage in fall & will partner with someone. MABC will manage 2nd stand football only – 6 home games, Band Boosters to supply workers. Mary will contact Dr. Lolli to schedule meeting to discuss particulars.
Scholarship Committee – Only had 11 people apply, Presenting 4 scholarships, 2 male, 2 female at Sr. Awards May 19th. Award named after E. Gregory Smith
Touchdown club – No additional info on Traveling Trophy to be named Monroe/Franklin Travelling Trophy – Booster Bowl. Logan Pence nominated All-star game
Old Business:
Fundraisers – Kohls – 10 people supplied to help at event, $500 donation – Ann to contact Kohls for help on Hornet Day.
Booster Website – Jen Burnside to ask Steve Duff to help manage as an alumni
Collegiate Recognition – Pictures are up – Larna made labels for pictures
Rubberized high jump area – About ¾ down, coming back to finish & fix areas that came up, paint needs done which is another cost.
Club insurance – Bidlack sent letter stating MABC is covered under the GL policy but need property insurance. Rocky & Angela took inventory and pictures to be kept on file with AD. Angela to get quotes on property – fiduciary for next meeting.

Basketball – summer leagues, shoot-outs Boys - $1150 1-JV & 2-Varsity – motion Mary, 2nd Anita; Girls $1160 was tabled until resolution on tourney money.

Girls Soccer – 3 tourneys - $925 – Bulldog (Mason- June 18-20), Xenia (July 10-11) Mason (date ?) motion Anita, 2nd Greg

Football – up to $1500 4 each Medicine balls, 20#, 30#, 40# - to be kept in storage for football use – motion Mary, 2nd Anita
Spirit Shop – Mary to set up meeting with Dr. Lolli
Record boards – Dave called again, they’re still working on them
Officer Elections: President - Mary Griffin – motion Anita 2nd Rocky; Vice President – Angela Peterson motion Rocky, 2nd Anita; Secretary – Jenny Streibick motion Angela 2nd Dave Bauer; Treasurer is tabled until June meeting.

The mission of the Monroe Athletic Booster Club (MABC) is to facilitate and promote the activities of the Monroe High School's sports programs. MABC will work with the coaches and administration to support the athletic program by providing funds, boosting attendance, building morale and providing an enjoyable healthy environment for the student athletes. MABC will be responsible for raising funds required to meet the club's objectives.
